This bill requires public residential buildings that receive funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development or the Division of Housing and Community Renewal to have at least one dose of naloxone, an opioid overdose reversal medication, readily accessible for residential use. The bill specifies that the naloxone must be located in a common area of the building, stored in a secure but unlocked container, and maintained by the Office of Addiction Services and Supports. Funding for this program will be provided by the Office of Addiction Services and Supports and the Opioid Settlement Fund.
