This bill aims to amend the South Carolina Code of Laws by adding a new section, Section 56-7-85, which allows motor vehicle and motorcycle owners to be charged with violating local ordinances that restrict the production of excessive noise by their vehicles. The bill defines "motor vehicle owner" and "motorcycle owner" to include any person or entity that is the beneficial or equitable owner, has title to, is the registered or co-registered owner, or uses the vehicle for renting or leasing purposes. The bill takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
