This bill prohibits the dissemination of criminal history background information until the record has been updated to reflect any expungement orders granted by the Superior Court. The bill requires the State Bureau of Identification to verify whether the person has an unprocessed expungement order and update their records accordingly before disseminating the criminal history information. The bill also allows the Superintendent of State Police to provide the processing service without collecting fees from the applicant in certain circumstances, such as when the applicant is a volunteer or would not receive a wage or salary.
