This bill amends existing laws to require continuing care facilities and written residency agreements that provide for a refundable entrance fee to assign a sequential refund number to a vacated unit among all available units with refundable entrance fees after the conditions for issuing the number are met. Any remaining balance to the resident must be paid based on the order of the sequential refund number, or within one year after the unit has been vacated, whichever occurs first.
