This bill: Amends the definition of "subdivision" in Arizona law to clarify that it includes residential lease communities, which are defined as six or more detached residential dwelling units on one or more lots, parcels, or fractional interests, intended to be offered for the purpose of lease without regard to the lease term, under a common promotional plan. The bill also requires that before presenting a permit application for six or more detached single-family residences within an active management area where the central Arizona project aqueduct is located, a person must apply for and obtain a certificate of assured water supply from the director or obtain a written commitment of water service from a designated water provider, and pay applicable fees. Additionally, the bill allows the multi-county water conservation district to levy an activation fee against each housing unit to be constructed within a residential lease community that is enrolled on or after January 1, 2025.
