This bill amends Florida's law on luring or enticing children. It increases the criminal penalties for adults who intentionally lure or entice, or attempt to lure or entice, children under the age of 12 into a structure, dwelling, or conveyance for other than a lawful purpose. It also increases penalties for second or subsequent violations of this offense, as well as for persons with specified previous convictions who commit this offense. The bill raises the offense from a misdemeanor to a third-degree felony, with increased penalties for repeat offenders or those with prior convictions related to sexual offenses against children.
