This bill modifies provisions relating to advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) in Missouri. Key changes include: - Allowing APRN collaborative practice arrangements to grant APRNs the authority to prescribe controlled substances in Schedules III-V and Schedule II hydrocodone, with some limitations. - Establishing that APRNs who have practiced for at least 2,000 hours in a collaborative practice arrangement are no longer required to maintain such an arrangement to practice in the state. - Expanding the defined "practice of advanced practice nursing" to include activities such as conducting advanced assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, and prescribing therapeutic measures. - Removing the requirement for APRNs to obtain a certificate of controlled substance prescriptive authority if they meet the 2,000-hour practice requirement.
