This bill modifies provisions relating to certain local taxes. Specifically, it: - Allows the governing body of certain counties to impose a sales tax of up to 1% for the purpose of funding the operations of hospital services in the county, subject to voter approval. - Allows the governing body of certain counties to impose a sales tax of up to 5% on transient guests of hotels and motels, as well as on short-term rentals, for the purpose of promoting tourism, subject to voter approval. - Authorizes certain cities to impose a sales tax of up to 6% on transient guests of hotels and motels, with the proceeds used for funding the promotion of tourism. - Allows certain municipalities to impose a tax on retail sales of food and on transient guests of hotels and motels, with the proceeds used for funding capital improvements, emergency services, and public safety. - Makes various other changes related to the administration and collection of certain local taxes.
