This bill creates new provisions relating to foreign ownership of real estate in Missouri. It prohibits political subdivisions from entering into development agreements, approving building plans, or taking other actions related to development with individuals or governments identified as "foreign adversaries" under federal regulations. The bill also prohibits certain foreign adversaries, as defined, from purchasing or holding title to real property in Missouri, with some exceptions for foreign businesses that have been registered and in good standing for at least seven years, approved by the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment, and have an active national security agreement with the federal government.
