This bill modifies the provisions related to state funding for regional planning commissions in Missouri. It increases the maximum state funding allocation for the East-West Gateway Coordinating Council and the Mid-America Regional Council from $65,000 to $130,000, and it increases the maximum state funding allocation for other regional planning commissions from $25,000 to $50,000. The bill also adds three new regional planning commissions (Harry S Truman, MO-Kan, and Pioneer Trails) to the list of those eligible for state funding. Additionally, the bill requires that the maximum grant amount for each regional planning commission be adjusted annually based on the consumer price index starting in July 2026.
