This bill creates new provisions in Missouri law related to air ambulance memberships. It defines an "air ambulance membership agreement" as an agreement to pay for or provide air ambulance services, but excludes health insurance plans. The bill prohibits air ambulance membership organizations from selling these agreements to individuals enrolled in Medicaid (MO HealthNet). If a member subsequently enrolls in Medicaid, they must notify the organization, which must then provide a prorated refund. The bill also requires certain disclosures in marketing materials and membership applications about the membership not being insurance and Medicaid covering air ambulance services. Violations of the new provisions are deemed violations of the state's consumer protection laws, allowing enforcement by the Attorney General.
