Bill Summary

AN ACT Relating to supervision compliance credit; and amending 2 RCW 9.94A.717. 3

AI Summary

This bill amends the existing law (RCW 9.94A.717) to allow offenders under supervision by the Department of Corrections to earn "supervision compliance credit" of 10 days per month if they comply with their supervision conditions and make progress towards their individualized supervision goals, such as participating in targeted interventions or completing steps towards stability. However, certain offenders, such as those sentenced under RCW 9.94A.507 or 10.95.030, are not eligible for this credit. Additionally, offenders serving a less restrictive alternative under RCW 71.09.092 are not eligible to earn supervision compliance credit on any concurrent sentence.
