This bill amends Florida statutes to require certain hospitals with certified electronic health record programs to make patient records available through a national health information exchange network, either directly or through a third-party vendor. It also requires these hospitals to make admission, transfer, and discharge data available to the Florida Health Information Exchange service to support public health data registries and patient care coordination. Additionally, the bill requires community pharmacies that maintain electronic prescribing systems to participate in the Emergency Patient Look-Up System of the Agency for Health Care Administration for the purpose of supporting declared state of emergency events, effective January 1, 2025.
