This bill allows the hobby distillation of liquors produced from beer or wine. Specifically, it amends the existing law to permit the production of liquor, in addition to beer and wine, for personal or family use by individuals over 21 years of age, as long as the liquor is not offered for sale or sold. The bill sets limits on the quantity of liquor that can be produced per household, with a maximum of the quantity of liquor produced from 200 gallons of beer or wine per calendar year if there are two or more persons producing in the household, and a maximum of the quantity of liquor produced from 100 gallons of beer or wine per calendar year if there is only one person producing in the household. The bill will take effect on January 1, 2025.
