This bill establishes an Office of Conservation Innovation within the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. The Office will provide support to the Chief of the Natural Resources Conservation Service and encourage innovation in conservation practices by revising existing standards, recommending interim standards, and proposing new standards. The Office will be staffed with up to 6 technical specialists in various fields, including agronomy, grazing lands ecology, animal husbandry, water conservation, agricultural engineering, and forest ecology. The funding for this Office will come from the annual appropriations for conservation operations of the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
