This bill amends Kentucky law to: 1. Include an equivalent score on the Classic Learning Test as a KEES (Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship) supplemental amount. 2. Define "eligible noncertified school graduate" as a Kentucky resident who graduates from a non-certified Kentucky secondary school in the 2024-2025 academic year or thereafter and meets other requirements. 3. Establish an equivalent grade point average for eligible noncertified school graduates based on their ACT score for the purposes of determining the KEES base amount. 4. Conform related provisions in the KEES program to account for eligible noncertified school graduates. The KEES program provides scholarships to eligible Kentucky high school students based on their grade point average and ACT/SAT scores. This bill expands the KEES program to include graduates of non-certified Kentucky secondary schools, allowing them to qualify for KEES awards based on their ACT scores.
