This bill modifies provisions regarding assisted reproduction under the "Uniform Parentage Act." The key changes are: 1. If a person conceives a child through assisted reproduction using donated semen or ova, with the consent of another intended parent, that intended parent is treated as the natural parent of the child, even if they are not biologically related. 2. Donors of semen or ova for assisted reproduction are generally treated as if they are not the natural parents of the resulting child, unless they have a prior written agreement with the person conceiving the child stating they intend to be a parent. 3. The provider of an embryo for assisted reproduction is treated as not being the natural parent, unless the court finds evidence that the provider and the intended parent intended for the provider to be a parent. 4. If the provider of the ova, semen, or embryos is not the original source, the written consent of the original providers is required, unless they have waived their rights to the genetic material.
