This bill allows pharmacists and pharmacy interns to substitute prescribed drugs with either a "drug product equivalent" or a "therapeutically similar drug product" under certain circumstances. The bill also requires the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing to create a list of therapeutically similar drug products, in consultation with the Physicians Licensing Board and the Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon's Licensing Board. The bill takes effect on May 1, 2024.
