This bill establishes the Lymphology Study, which requires the Department of Health to study the effects of the training criteria established by the Lymphology Association of North America for therapists treating patients with lymphedema. The study will examine whether such criteria would improve treatments, patient outcomes, and/or lower overall medical costs. The study must commence within 30 days of the bill's effective date and the results must be provided to the Governor and Legislature within six months of the study's start.
