This bill directs the Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Conservation to promulgate rules and regulations within 180 days of the effective date of the act. These rules and regulations will establish targets for the sales of zero-emissions medium and heavy-duty vehicles in the state. The standards set forth in these rules and regulations will be the same as those adopted by the state of California, including sales targets, fleet percentages, and credit calculations for zero-emissions medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
