This bill establishes used motor vehicle dealer training programs to educate dealers on topics such as consumer protection and sales and use tax collection. It permits trade organizations to apply to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to conduct these training programs, which must be made available to the department. The bill also creates a "used motor vehicle dealer training program fund" to administer the provisions of the new law. The training requirements apply to new eligible used motor vehicle dealer licensees, as well as existing licensees upon renewal.
