This bill amends the Georgia code to remove the requirement for the Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission's standards of conduct and governance rules to be reviewed and adopted by the Supreme Court. Instead, the commission, with the assistance of the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of the State of Georgia, will have the authority to promulgate these standards and rules directly. The bill also specifies that a full investigation of a district attorney or solicitor-general can only be initiated upon a majority vote of the commission's investigative panel, and that commission members must provide any relevant information about a district attorney or solicitor-general's conduct to the commission's director for appropriate action.
