This bill creates the "Intrastate Airline Task Force" to study and provide recommendations on establishing an intrastate airline transportation system to provide regular flights between the cities of Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Hobbs, Clovis, and Gallup. The task force consists of state officials, legislators, and members of the public with relevant experience. The task force is required to examine various aspects of the proposed system, including projected demand, necessary infrastructure, costs and benefits, and federal regulations. The task force must report its findings and recommendations to several legislative committees by December 1, 2024. The bill also appropriates $500,000 from the general fund to the Economic Development Department to support the work of the task force.
