This bill creates a public records exemption for information related to investigations by the Department of Legal Affairs of violations of the Artificial Intelligence Transparency Act (s. 501.174, Florida Statutes). The exemption applies during an active investigation and after an investigation is completed or ceases to be active, for certain types of sensitive information, such as personal identifying information, computer forensic reports, and proprietary information. The bill provides a definition of "proprietary information" and requires the exemption to be reviewed and potentially repealed by the legislature in 2029 under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.
