To register and vote under this new provision, individuals must provide necessary registration information, present acceptable identification such as a photo ID, utility bill, or government check, and affirm they have not already voted in the election. If election officials cannot immediately verify certain identification details like a driver's license number or Social Security Number, the voter will be notified to provide further valid identification within 48 hours before the election results are finalized for their ballot to be counted. The bill also permits same-day registration at polling places or early voting sites, and allows voters who have moved within their county but missed the registration deadline to vote at their correct polling place or an early voting site by affirming their new address.
