This joint resolution designates the first week of May each year as "Children's Mental Health Awareness Week" in New Jersey to raise public understanding about mental health challenges facing children. By establishing this awareness week, the resolution aims to reduce stigma, promote understanding of children's mental health, and encourage public officials and citizens to engage in activities and programs that support children's mental health and well-being. The Governor is specifically requested to issue an annual proclamation to support these efforts and draw attention to this important issue.
