This bill provides immunity from civil liability to all first aid, rescue, and emergency squads, as entities, in certain circumstances. The current law provides civil immunity to individual members of these squads and to volunteer squads as entities, but does not extend the immunity to nonvolunteer squads, as entities, for acts or omissions committed while in training for or providing services other than advanced life support services.
