This bill requires that from the start date until the end date of public utility service work within the boundaries of a municipality, including public utility service work in response to an emergency, a public utility is to provide to the mayor and municipal clerk, or an authorized designee, of the affected municipality daily updates, in a form and manner determined by the Board of Public Utilities, concerning the status of the public utility service work. The board is to adopt rules and regulations necessary for the implementation of this bill, including rules and regulations concerning daily update requirements for public utility service work in response to an emergency that affects the electric public utility service to any municipal building. "Emergency" and "public utility" are defined in the bill.
