This bill requires a county located east of the Cascade mountains with a population between 530,000 and 1,500,000 that operates a regional 911 emergency communications system to transfer a portion of the tax revenues it receives under chapter 82.14B RCW to the local government operating the municipal 911 emergency communications system that receives transferred calls from the regional system. The amount transferred is based on the number of calls received and transferred, with the county required to transfer 80% of the calculated amount quarterly. The bill also sets an effective date of January 1, 2025.
