This bill requires the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity to conduct a disparity study every five years, with the next study due by January 1, 2026. The study will evaluate the need for measures to address the disparity between the availability and utilization of women-owned and minority-owned businesses. The bill also allows public bodies to rely on the recommendations of these disparity studies when establishing programs to facilitate the participation of small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses in procurement transactions.
