This bill allows school committees to add items not appearing in the published notice to their agendas for the purposes of discussion only, and not for the purpose of voting on those items. To do so, the revised agenda must be filed with the secretary of state and posted on the district's website at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting. This change is intended to provide more flexibility for school committees to address unexpected issues that arise, while still maintaining transparency through the revised agenda filing and posting requirements.
