This bill expands the definition of "firearm safety device" as it relates to the firearm safety device tax credit. The new definition includes any device that, when installed on a firearm, is designed to prevent the firearm from being operated without first deactivating the device. The bill also provides a tax credit of up to $300 for the purchase of one or more firearm safety devices in an eligible transaction, with a total credit limit of $5 million per taxable year.
