AN ACT To amend Chapter 5 of Title 19 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to divorce, so as to provide for a postjudgment filing process by which a former spouse may change their married surname to the given surname on their birth certificate following a judgment and decree of divorce; to provide for applicability; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
