This bill, the Organic Dairy Data Collection Act, aims to provide improved data collection for the organic dairy industry. It requires the Secretary of Agriculture to support regional and national programs to collect and publish cost-of-production data for organic milk, including the costs of major organic feedstuffs and other production-related expenses. The bill also directs the Secretary to establish an "Organic All Milk Prices Survey" to gather and report monthly data on the amounts organic dairy farmers are paid for their milk and the prices received for organic milk cows. Additionally, the bill requires the Secretary to publish new periodic reports that include organic milk data equivalent to the data reported for conventionally produced milk, such as organic cost-of-production data by state, regional organic milk production quantities, organic mailbox prices, and major organic feedstuff prices.
