This bill amends the existing law RCW 49.58.110 to strengthen pay transparency requirements for employers. The key provisions are: (1) Employers must disclose the wage scale or salary range and a general description of benefits and other compensation in each job posting. (2) Employers must provide the wage scale or salary range to an employee offered an internal transfer or promotion upon request. (3) These requirements only apply to employers with 15 or more employees. (4) Employees and job applicants have the right to remedies for violations, but employers have a 10-business day grace period to correct any noncompliant postings without penalty. (5) The definition of "job applicant" is clarified to mean someone who has submitted a bona fide application for an open position.
