This bill proposes to create the Vermont Olympics Task Force, which will produce and present a proposal for Vermont to host the Olympic Games. The Task Force will review the current process, criteria, and requirements for hosting the Olympics, and prepare a proposal that aligns with the goals of the Olympic Movement and integrates with Vermont's regional and national development plans. The proposal will assess Vermont's strengths and potential sites for redevelopment, support housing plans, promote a sustainable tourism industry, and invest in infrastructure, food security, environmental protection, and social equity. The Task Force will provide updates to the General Assembly and a final report by December 31, 2025.
