This bill proposes to create an eight-year term limit for members of the Board of Trustees of the Vermont State Colleges Corporation, as well as an eight-year term limit for individuals appointed to the position of chancellor of the Corporation. The bill includes a transition provision that allows current trustees and the chancellor who have already served eight or more consecutive years to finish their terms but not be eligible for reappointment. The bill would take effect on July 1, 2024.
