AN ACT concerning Correctional Services - Diminution of a Term of Confinement - First-Degree Rape and First-Degree Sexual Offense (Pava Marie LaPere Act) FOR the purpose of prohibiting an incarcerated individual who is serving a sentence for first-degree rape or first-degree sexual offense as first-degree sexual offense existed prior to a certain date from being entitled to diminution of the incarcerated individual’s term of confinement; and generally relating to the diminution of an incarcerated individual’s term of confinement. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article - Correctional Services Section 3-702 Annotated Code of Maryland (2017 Replacement Volume and 2023 Supplement) (As enacted by Chapter 721 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2023)
