This bill amends an existing law to require all eligible voters in Oklahoma to re-register to vote starting with the 2025 election cycle. The new registration process requires voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship and current residence to the county election board. Voters who fail to re-register but meet the requirements of the National Voter Registration Act will be placed on a "Federal Election Only" list, making them ineligible to vote in local or state elections. The bill also requires the county election boards to make copies of the acceptable citizenship documents available for public inspection. The bill will become effective on November 1, 2024.
