This bill amends the law in Oklahoma to modify the qualifications for persons requesting criminal arrest record expungements. It expands the categories of individuals who can request expungement, including those who have successfully completed a diversion program and those whose felony convictions have been reclassified as misdemeanors. Additionally, the bill restores the right to possess firearms or other weapons for individuals who have had a felony conviction expunged and have not been convicted of any other felony offense. The bill will become effective on November 1, 2024.
