This bill prohibits funding for the State University of New York (SUNY), City University of New York (CUNY), or community colleges that directly or indirectly permit organizations designated as terrorist organizations under federal law to operate on their campuses. The bill also requires the SUNY trustees to adopt rules and regulations making any student group or organization that receives SUNY funding and promotes, encourages, advocates, or permits terrorist advocacy or activities on campuses ineligible for funding, including from student activity fees. The bill applies to school years starting on or after July 1, 2024.
