This bill amends the Oklahoma law on voter registration, changing the conditions for felons to be eligible to register to vote. Specifically, it allows felons to register once they have fully served their sentence, received a commutation that reduced their sentence to time served, or been granted a pardon. The bill also maintains the existing restriction that anyone deemed to be an incapacitated person under state law is ineligible to register to vote, unless they are later adjudged to no longer be incapacitated. The bill will take effect on November 1, 2024.
