This bill establishes that the disqualification from receiving unemployment insurance benefits due to a stoppage of work does not apply for any week beginning after the first 14 days of an individual's unemployment resulting from the stoppage of work that exists because of a labor dispute at the premises where the individual was last employed. The bill provides an exception to the existing law, which disqualifies individuals from receiving unemployment benefits if their unemployment results from a stoppage of work caused by a labor dispute at their place of employment.
