This bill makes appropriations for the support of government capital projects, including: - $90.1 million for the Department of Agriculture and Markets for various capital projects, such as grants to municipal and incorporated not-for-profit pounds, shelters, and humane societies to support the costs of capital projects, and funding for dairy farm modernization, industrial hemp programs, and Long Island shellfish and aquaculture projects. - $481.2 million for City University of New York (CUNY) senior college capital projects, including funding for general maintenance and improvements, program changes and expansions, and project administration. - $15.7 million for CUNY community college capital projects for general maintenance and improvements. - $14.7 million for the State Board of Elections for technology upgrades and equipment for local boards of elections. - $25.8 million for the Energy Research and Development Authority for the Western New York Nuclear Service Center program. - $1.38 billion for the Department of Environmental Conservation for various capital projects, including administration, air resources, environment and recreation, facilities maintenance and operations, fish and wildlife, lands and forests, marine resources, new York works, operations, and solid and hazardous waste management. The bill appropriates funds from various capital projects funds, including the Capital Projects Fund and the Environmental Protection Fund, and federal funding sources. The appropriations are made available for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
