This bill reauthorizes the National Landslide Preparedness Act until 2029. It makes several changes to the Act, including: (1) clarifying that the Act aims to contribute to protecting people and property from landslides, rather than just protecting them; (2) requiring the dissemination of information on landslide mitigation strategies, rather than just implementing them; (3) adding the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to the list of federal agencies involved in the Act; (4) expanding the 3D elevation data collection to include derivative data products; (5) requiring the integration of 3D elevation data, in addition to its acquisition and processing; and (6) adding the 3D Hydrography Program Working Group to the list of stakeholders involved in the Act's implementation.
