This bill amends Section 97-29-107 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to delete the exemption for any public or private school library from the crime of distributing obscene materials. The bill removes the language that exempted public or private school libraries from the law prohibiting the distribution of obscene materials, making them subject to the same restrictions as other entities. The bill will take effect on July 1, 2024.
