This bill establishes a tuition reimbursement program for employees of the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The program will cover up to 20% of the cost of undergraduate study at state institutions of higher education, to be paid in full after 5 years of employment with the Division. To be eligible, corrections employees must apply and be accepted to the institution, and apply for other student financial aid. The reimbursement is contingent on the employee maintaining academic progress and continued employment with the Division. The state may establish additional limitations on the program as it deems appropriate.
