This bill amends sections of Florida Statutes to revise the number of circuit court judges and county court judges in certain judicial circuits and counties. Specifically, it increases the number of circuit court judges in the First Judicial Circuit from 25 to 26, and in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit from 31 to 32. It also increases the number of county court judges in Columbia County from 1 to 2, Hillsborough County from 23 to 25, Orange County from 19 to 22, and Santa Rosa County from 2 to 3. The bill includes a declaration that it fulfills an important state interest and sets an effective date of July 1, 2024.
