This bill amends the Tennessee Code Annotated to authorize county election commissions to designate restroom facilities in buildings used as polling places for the use of workers or volunteers working for a campaign. The bill specifies that campaign workers and volunteers may use the designated restrooms but cannot enter the polling place itself unless they have covered or removed any campaign materials. The bill also states that a campaign worker or volunteer who enters the polling place boundary without covering campaign materials or attempts to solicit votes within the boundary may be subject to punishment under existing law. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2024.
