This bill amends existing law to establish penalties for the disclosure of confidential member records of the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho. The bill prohibits any board member, director, deputy, employee, contractor, or former employee from knowingly disclosing a member's retirement system records, except as provided by statute, court order, or the retirement system's rules. Violations would be a felony punishable by a fine and imprisonment, and would result in the person forfeiting their office or employment and being ineligible to hold public office for two years.
